Abstract (EN)

Most health practitioners cannot detach themselves from the training and methods they have taken during undergraduate study. For medical science, which has a dynamic structure at an incredible level, it is a vital function to reach and apply the current knowledge. Thanks to this function, it is possible for people who receive health care, health institutions and employees to get rid of unnecessary processes. Health sector and its employees need up-to-date information the most. One of the most important suppliers to meet this need is Medical Libraries. Evidence-Based Medicine has achieved a great success in terms of providing "Up-to-date Informatin", which is the most complementary aspect of medicine; assisting the medical education and saving this science from unnecessary processes (time, diagnosis, treatment, cost) by accumulating information. Health services have gained great momentum thanks to evidence-based medicine and the librarianship of this science. In this study; The status, historical development and presence of medical librarianship in our country, evidence-based medicine, the boundaries and development of this science, its current situation, the benefits to medical science, the methods, the scope of application and steps, the librarianship side that will adopt these savings, the place of librarianship in this science, what points this science intersects with librarianship are put forth after detailed research.
