The Effect of the transfer expenditures on budget deficits in Turkey

The aim of this thesis is to reveal the effect of transfer expenditures on budget deficits in Turkey. In the first part of this study, concept, types and macroeconomic effects of transfer expenditures and their development in the world were examined, as well. In the second part, budget deficit concept was defined and different definitions of budget deficit expressed. In addition, development of budget deficits in the world was mentioned and budget deficits in the Turkey were dwelled upon. In the last part, development of transfer expenditures in Turkey was examined. Moreover, the effects of transfer expenditures on budget deficits were analyzed by using a econometric model. VI
