Situation of transportation systems with analyisis of distribution of transport in Turkey and evaluatıon

In the current century, the developments occurring in transport sector cause to reshape and the importance of the developments in the transport sector has been further increase. By spreading of globalization, transportation sector that taking over has begun to play an important role in economy of countries and in world trade day by day. Because of this, the transport sector should be handled not only concerning status in our country but also in worldwide, within the framework of the evaluation of the economic and legal relationships by considering the required. Nowadays; passenger and freight transport systems, which are railways, highways, sea transport, air transport, pipeline transport and developments in these systems directly affect economical conditions of countries. For this reason, the more efficient functioning of the transportation system to make countries intensive studies. Looking at transportation systems in Turkey; highway observed that more effective and intense. Dominance of highway, the transportation system has led to inefficient and unstable. Therefore, a certain portion of the demand for transport is transferred to other types of transport will be provided a more balanced and efficient transportation system.On the other hand, transport systems should behandled as a whole, the transportation system is a fast, economical, safe, environmentally sensitive, and the country's resources should be planned in a way that will allow a coordinated operation between transport systems. There is will be possible with the modes of transportation as a whole is a balanced distribution of transport systems instead of concentration on one transportation system. In this study, the transportation systems of the current situation and the distribution of transport systemsin Turkey should be analyzed and the current state of the transport systemsin the countries of the world were to compare the distribution of transports. Transportation systems and transportation policies in Turkey which a as a candidate country in the European Union, are evaluated in general and problems are analysed. Proposals are presented for the solutions of these problems to become more efficient and to ensure a balanced distribution.
