Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the perspectives of the people who are living in Bandirma district to non-governmental organizations such as foundations and associations and their activities, and to expose their donation preferences. In this context, the issue of whether people would prefer their donations and grants to those in need through non-governmental organizations or directly by themselves is examined. In addition, the trust of people to people they do not know, the trust of people to non-governmental organizations that do charity activities were measured and the perception of citizens about the effects of non-governmental organizations in determining state policies was examined. According to the aim of the study, six hypotheses were established as to whether there is a significant relationship between the demographic characteristics of the people, the trust in the people, the individual effect on the solution of the problems for a better society, the influence of the non-governmental organizations in determining the policies of our country, the role of the aid to the poor assume whose duty, wheter religious obligations were taken into consideration while the donations and aids were given and the giving money to beggars. Chi-square test was used to determine whether there is a significant relationship between them. As a result, the management of civil society organizations in an accountable and transparent manner in societies where people with a low level of trust in people other than their immediate surroundings, where social capital is insufficient and economic conditions are not very favorable, will contribute to increasing the trust in these organizations before the society.
