Investigation of the mediation effect of psychological resilience levels on the relationship between social exclusion levels and culturalization stresses of Syrian refugees living in Turkey

In this study, which aims to evaluate the mediating effect of psychological resilience in the relationship between social exclusion levels and acculturation stress of Syrian refugees living in Turkey, scanning design, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. While the universe of the study consists of all Syrian refugees living in our country, the sample group consists of a total of 250 refugees as of May 2024. The survey data obtained online by the researcher were transferred to the Excel application and analyzed with the IBM SPSS 22 Package Statistics program. According to the analysis of the data; It was determined that the psychological resilience, acculturation stress and social exclusion levels of the participants were above the average; the psychological resilience, acculturation stress and social exclusion levels of the participants showed a significant difference according to gender; the acculturation stress levels differed significantly according to marital status and educational status; the employment status caused a significant difference on the Acculturation Stress and Social Exclusion levels; there was a significant and positive relationship between the psychological resilience, social exclusion and acculturation stress of the participants. Finally, it was observed in the study that the mediating role of psychological resilience became significant when the dependent variable was acculturation stress.
