Abstract (EN)
Pelophylax ridibundus, which is gathered from Gölbaşı Lake (Hatay) in the first part of this thesis study which is composed of three parts and has high economic value for our country; age composition, relationship between body length (SVL) and age composition, and the number of eggs left by male and female frogs was investigated breeding ponds. The average age of female and male frogs is as follows; 3,72±0,97 years (range 2-7 years), 3,77 ± 0,87 years (range 3-6 years) and a statistically significant difference between the ages of male and female frogs was not observed (P>0,05). It was determined that there is a positive relationship between SVL values and age of male and female frogs collected from Gölbaşı Lake (Hatay) and brought to the frog farm as adult. In the second part of the study, the differences between the liver and gonads of the individuals raised in the farm and the liver with gonad of the individuals raised in nature were determined from the histological point of view. The changes in the liver and gonads were determined at the beginning of the reproductive period and during the reproductive period in the individuals collected from the nature of P. ridibundus. At the beginning of the reproductive period, the liver parenchyma and hepatocytes were found to be intense in cytoplasmic state, and melanin pigments and fat droplets in the liver parenchyma were detected in P. ridibundus naturally collected individuals. During the reproductive period, melanin pigment was observed on the liver parenchyma of the frogs. In our study, we were found that there was no structural difference between the liver and the gonads of the frogs were fed with pellet feed with a crude protein content of 35% in the farm, which were grown in a short period of 8 months. In the third part, the average weights of body, carcass and food consumed hind legs of female frogs were found higher than that of male frogs, and these weight differences between female frogs and male frogs were statistically significant (P<0,05). There was no statistically significant difference (P>0,05) between the nutritional values of female frogs raised in the farm and those of the female frogs raised in the wild. There are no significant differences between the amino acid compositions of the female frogs raised in pellet feed in the short term and the female frogs collected from the nature . According to the findings, it was determined that the female frogs raised in the farm are more nutritious.
