Progress of local broadcasting in Turkey and it's corelation with local structure:Kayseri example

Neo-Liberal thoughts and politics in the world of 80?s brought essential changes in economic field too. Those changes, with many other sectors, have been rapidly observed in media sector too. That change period, thanks to recent serious technological changes, has also affected Turkey in 90?s, as a result, privatization of radio and television?s has started.During that time period, number of television channels has increased greatly, so that private and commercial broadcasting has overcame with the monopoly in broadcasting, In Turkey, with the rest of the world, discussions on protection and survival of lokal customs versus globalization have been observed. Accordingly, the mission that given to local radio and television?s has increased the importance of local broadcasting branch of media sector.In this text, progress of local radio and television broadcasting is discussed under ?Progress of Local Broadcasting in Turkey and it?s corelation with local structure: Kayseri Example? header. Information has been granted by taking examples from radio and television organizations which are present and casting at Kayseri Centrum, with fuce-to-fuce (detuiled) interview method.As the main result of interviews made with managers and employees of local radio and television organizations, it is concluded that there is a direct relation between local radio an television broadcasting and the local strukture. Under the lights of those information, solution afferings have been provided by discussing the problems of local radio and television broadcasting organizations and the sector in Turkey.
