Abstract (EN)
The study carried out for the purpose of reduction the germination and emergence problems of tobacco seeds was conducted in the Field Crops Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University between 2017 and 2018. In the study Birlik-125 tobacco cultivar was used and priming, KNO3, GA3, pelleting and combinations of these treatments were applied to the seeds. As a result of the research, it was found that priming application gave the best germination rate. Also, KNO3 and GA3 applications gave similar results to priming. In our study, the negative effect of pelleting on germination was seen. But, priming + pelleting gave an acceptable result with 88.50% germination rate. Although KNO3, GA3, KNO3 + pelleting and GA3 + pelleting applications were included in the same statistical group, the best numerical results were obtained from priming + pelleting application.
