Abstract (EN)
In this study, a CTT sample and a CTT specimen holder were designed based on the standard CT specimen in the literature so that this specimen could have a tearing effect. In this case, the mod-I and mod-III effects can be analyzed using the same specimen. In the scope of the research project supported by TÜBİTAK, 113M407, CTT samples were analyzed considering different angles and contact types using the FCPAS (Fracture and Crack Propagation Analysis System) program and ANSYS. In order to test the validity of these analyzes, tests have been carried out on the MTS fatigue device with a capacity of 100 kN and 1100 Nm., which is capable of both axial tensile and torsional fatigue loads, available at the Sakarya University Computational and Experimental Fracture Mechanics Laboratory. In addition, these tests were confirmed in terms of strain values at certain points on the specimen using strain gauges. For the first time, the analysis and test results obtained for the mode-I / III situation in such a comprehensive manner have been documanted and some comparisons with existy criteria have been done. Finally, recommendations are done for future research.
