Abstract (EN)
Temperature values in electric motors directly affect the performance of the motor. Especially in enterprises with high indoor and indoor temperature, the average temperature is high. High indoor temperature has a direct negative effect on motor performance. It is known that the life of electric motors decreases with increasing temperature value. With insufficient cooling in the motor body, the increase in internal temperature values and the increase in stator winding resistances in direct proportion to the temperature have negative effects on the performance of the motor. Therefore, cooling of electric motors is important in terms of operating performance and energy saving. Cooling in induction motors can be provided by outer casing cooling and cooling fins and propeller located in the rotor short circuit ring. In this thesis, it is experimentally obtained how the motor performance changes in case of failure of the fins on the housing of three-phase squirrel cage induction motors. Within the scope of this thesis, it is aimed to investigate the effect of the fins on the housing on the cooling of induction motors. In this context, temperature changes were investigated by creating failures in the fins that provide heat transfer on the robust motor body. Since there will be an abnormal situation in the operation of the motors for defective conditions, the effects of this on motor vibrations were also obtained within the research subject. In addition, performance analyses were obtained by performing idle, short circuit and loaded operation experiments separately for the intact motor and the asynchronous motor with defective blades on the housing.
