Abstract (EN)

In recent years, interest in electric transportation vehicles has been increasing due to reasons such as the damage caused by fossil fuels to the environment, the decrease in fossil fuels, the increase in fuel costs, the need for automatic power control and more efficient systems. In the aviation industry, planes in which electrical energy is used more widely and called More Electric Aircraft by the scientific world attract great attention rather than fully electric planes, due to their high costs, sizes and weight. In these aircraft, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems have been replaced by systems powered by electrical energy. Instead of the starter and generator system in traditional aircraft, which is complex in structure, heavy, requires constant maintenance and consists of two different systems, the Starter-Generator (SG) system has begun to be used in such aircraft, which consists of an electrical machine controlled by a single driver. In this study, five-phase Internal Magnet Synchronous Machine (IMSM), SG driver controlled by five-phase Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (UVDGM), and SG control unit that manages the entire process are modeled with Matlab / Simscape Tollbox. The system, in which five-phase IMSM was used as SG, was controlled in two operating modes: Starter Mode and Generator Mode. Simulation results showed that the proposed SG system can be used in new generation aircraft where electrical energy is used more widely and has High Voltage DC Power System.
