Üçgöl rock chamber tombs mural paintings

The Üçgöl Rock Chamber Tombs are located in Gaziantep Province, 600 meters west of the Üçgöl Neighborhood of Yavuzeli District. As a result of the rescue excavation was carried out by the Gaziantep Museum Directorate in 2016, two rock tomb rooms which can be dated to the Roman Period were cleaned and uncovered. The interiors of these burial rooms are decorated with mural paintings. In this study, detailed information was given about rock tombs, historical development of mural paintings, construction techniques and the colors which were used, and Roman period painting workshops and style stages, in accordance with the Rock Tombs of Üçgöl. In addition, the mural paintings which are the subject of this thesis have been compared with the mural paintings in and around Gaziantep province and the mural paintings, mosaics and styles located in other regions.
