Abstract (EN)
International trade can not be neglected due to the devoloping technology, communication, transportation and it has been a very important concept especially for the countries to meet the foreign resources. So; letter of credit which is being used as an important payment factor in international trade, is accepted as an important payment tool worldwide. In this study; letter of credit payment method, which is used in foreign trade, is analyzed and samples according to UCP 600 are examined. In the first section of the study that is consisted of six main chapters; International Trade Concept and The Development of the International Trade Worldwide and in Turkey have been examined. Documents which are being used in international trade besides Delivery, Shipping and Payment Types have been studied in the second and third chapters, respectively. In the fourth chapter of the study; the definition of letter of credit, its parties, kinds, operations also reserve concept in letter of credit have been explained. The innovations due to UCP 600 are explained in the fifth chapter and in the last chapter; the data acquired from a participation bank in Turkey are evaulated so that statistical results are examined and the relationship between them are indicated.
