STUDY OF MECHANICAL AND PHYSICALPROPERTIES OF FLY ASH ADDITIVE BIMSBLOCKS(M. Sc. Thesis)Serhat Oğuzhan KIVRAKGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJanuary 2006ABSTRACTIn this study, to evalute fly ash which is waste material of the thermic santralsfor stopping enviranmental pollution and rates of, revealing effects onmechanical and physical properties of bimsblock when bimsblock produce withcertain rates of this material usage instead of cement is aimed. Pumiceaggregate which is taken from Isparta, is used for production of bimsblocks.Reducing cement?s mass %0, %5, %10, %15, %20, %25 propertions andadding fly ash instead of this reduced cement?s mass, bimsblocks are producedwith mixture of fly ash, cement and pumice aggregate. The unit volume weight,resistance of pressure and heat conductivity coefficient experiments are madeon these produced samples. Change of fly ash propertions effect on bimsblocksmechanical and physical properties are researced.
