Abstract (EN)
Fly ash, a by-product of the thermal power plant in the world, often has a negative impact on the environment. Many countries in the world carry out various R & D studies to use th/is waste, which can be considered as by-product, in different fields. While fly ash, which is released in European countries, can be used in different fields such as cement production, concrete production, road filler material and various construction materials production, only a small part of it can be used in the construction sector in our country. In our country, this by-product waste is mostly stored in areas around the power plant. This storage process creates additional costs for plants and sometimes causes environmental pollution. Research conducted during the preparation of the thesis has shown us that it is appropriate to use fly ash with thermal power plant waste in different areas. When physical and chemical properties of fly ash are examined, it can be used as cement substitute material and it is more appropriate to carry out R & D activities in this direction. In this context, thesis studies, 20%, 30% and 40% instead of cement fly ash substitutes pumice block production experiments were made. Unit volume weight and compressive strength tests were applied on the produced test samples. The findings were examined and the thesis was concluded. In the thesis evaluation, cost analysis was performed and the benefit of the results to the national economy was calculated. By using fly ash in different areas, firstly environmental pollution will be prevented and side effects on human health will be reduced. By using wastes, it will be possible to produce by-products that will add value to the national economy. Thus, more economic structures will be provided.
