Abstract (EN)
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) has become one of the most important issues for countries around the world. Despite this fact, there is no developed approach to identify and compare OHS performances of countries in literature or in application. Existing comparison methods use singular ratios such as Fatal Accident Rates and Accident Severity Rates and thus disregard other criteria. In this study, the OHS performances of 15 countries have been evaluated and compared by means of using existing data from the International Labor Organization (ILO). In this scope, the weights of criteria taken into consideration for OHS performance are determined by using four different approaches and these criteria weights are integrated with the Multi-Attributive Ideal-Real Comparative Analysis (MAIRCA) method to obtain four different rankings of country OHS performance and the results are discussed.
