The apical seal effect of different adhesive systems in prepareted retrograde cavity by ultrasonic tip and eEr:Cr:YSGG laser

The aim of this study was to evaluate root-end sealing of the four different self etch adhesive and to compare MTA in vitro bacterial leakege method. Besides, it has been evaulated whether there is a relation between the sealing effect of these materials and usage of Er:Cr:YSGG laser and ultrasonic tip by preparation root-end cavity. The cracks in root-end cavity was evaulated after laser and ultrasonic preparation.In this study 196 single rooted maxillary central incisor teeth were used in our study. The cavities of 50 roots were prepareted by ultrasonic tip and different parameters Er:Cr:YSGG laser. The cracks on the surface of the roots were examined at stereomicroscope. A sample from each group was examined at by using SEM.Remaining 146 roots were classified into two groups as Grup A Grup B. Root-end surfaces at Grup A were prepareted using ultrasonic tip, root-end surfaces at Grup B were prepareted using Er:Cr:YSGG laser. Control groups were obturated using MTA. Remaining roots were classified Group A- (Group 1, 2, 3, 4) and Group B (Group 5, 6, 7, 8). Clearfil SE Bond, Clearfil Protect Bond, Clearfil S3 Bond, Optibond Solo Plus were applied to subgroups. Two samples from each group were separeted and examined by using SEM. The remaining samples were obturated composite resin.The obturated rooots were evaluated by bacterial leakege method. As a result of this study, in Group A observed more cracks than Group B. However, it has been determined that, there were no statistically significant difference between the Er:Cr:YSGG laser groups in terms of constitution cracks.According to the bacterial leakege result, it has been determined that, there were no observation of leakege at control groups. Clearfil S3 Bond, it has been observed less leakege in Group B in which the Er:Cr:YSGG laser was used than in Group A in which the ultrasonic tip was used.Consequently according to our opinion, we should consider the selection of the type of self etch adhesive in accordance with the method of preparation root-end cavity.
