Abstract (EN)

Since the existence of states, the general framework of the policy of international relations has drawn power policies. The concept of power, which constitutes the material and spiritual potentials of the states to protect their interests and accept their demands to the other side, is very important. A country; While the geographic location, natural resources, military capacity, industrial capacity, population structure, diplomacy structure are the main factors that show the national power, the changes in time can change the importance of the elements considered. Parallel to the changing socio-economic structure, the policies implemented by the states in the struggle for power have also changed, such as gaining land, having a high population, military conflict and so on. Geopolitical-based policies have been replaced by geoeconomic policies based on economic integration, technology, economic growth and many other economic data. In the first part of the study, the concept of power is defined, the main elements that constitute the power are listed and basic approaches to political economy are explained. In the second part of the study, the power analyzes performed by various analysts including critical, political and economic factors from the past to the present are tabulated. In the third and last part of the study, there are geoeconomic index where the fundamental elements of mercantilist, imperialist, liberal institutionalist and hegemonic geoeconomics strategies are included.
