Gatekeeping practices of the international news agencies in the news on Turkey: Reuters and AP

One of the most important problems of Turkey is her negative image especially in the European countries thanks to the prejudice. The prejudice is mostly caused by the western media's choice of news about Turkey, they often prefer to publish the reports against Turkey. International media gets the information about Turkey mostly from two major news agencies, Reuters and Associated Press. Hence the world sees Turkey through the eyes of these two agencies. In this research, 60 days of the output that is related to Turkey by these agencies are analysed. The aim of the work is to establish which words and concepts are mostly used by these agencies and what prejudices the gatekeepers of these agencies have.
