Child labour in international level, legal regulations and struggle programs against child labor

Child labour is being discussed as the most important social problem in the social policies of almost all countries, regardless of their levels of developed, developing, and underdeveloped, suggesting that the whole world. "The child labour" issue does not promise any hope to future lives of children who participated in working life in severe conditions without experiencing childhood, deprived of fundamental rights, and whose physical and mental development is negatively affected when they work. Moreover, the current problem increases the number of child deaths, changes the socio-cultural structure of society and creates economic problems for the state. Being existed in every period of history, child labour has taken on a new dimension after the Industrial Revolution, and in the 21st century, it has become a problem to should be struggled. Because one of the reasons for child labour is the cause of the other, the resolution of this problem in a short time is not possible. In order to ensure that children who are forced to work or who have to work, continue school, eat healthily, experience their childhood and get rid of the factors that adversely affect their development, short and long term programs are organized against child labour in the international arena. In this study, child labor and the causes of child labor are analyzed, historical development of the problem of child labor and international documents adopted by international organizations are examined by document analysis method and ILO's prevention policies against child labor are discussed.
