Abstract (EN)
The topic of this thesis, which is ?The Crime of Bribery with its International Dimensions?, is the crime of bribery. The debates about bribery which is one of the oldest crimes are stil actual in different aspects. The main reasons for chosing the topic of the thesis as crime of bribery are that the bribery is encountered through the application area quite oftenly, and the borders of the bribery is expanding progressively. The fact that the crime is encountered widely, made the consideration of the legal elements of the crime with a focus of court decisions important. The evolvement of crime which is seen as ?Transnational Bribery? and ?Bribery in Private Sector? is also an important issue to consider. In this thesis the theoretical discussions are firstly considered to reveal the reasons behind criminalisation of bribery. In the sequel, the regulations on the crime of bribery in Turkish Criminal Law System is included.
