Abstract (EN)

Introduction and Aim: In recent times, the decline in profitability of companies accelerated the competition in the sector. The effort to acquire a larger share from the sales was followed by an effort to add new features to the product, which led to the concepts of quality and accreditation. Quality in health care; at the time of promise, refers to health service based on efficient, effective, safe and safe, fair, patient and patient relatives. In this new work environment, employees are the greatest determinant of development and growth. Since the emergence of employees as the greatest value of working life, "employee satisfaction" has become one of the most important issues in the working life in the health sector as it is in other sectors. As a result of the questionnaires to be made with doctors and nurses working in university hospitals with and without international hospital accreditation, is to determine whether international hospital accreditation has an effect on employee satisfaction. Method: In this context, the questionnaire prepared in descriptive and cross-sectional format was conducted between 21 March and 21 May 2016 with 75 nurses and 125 physicians working in Hacettepe University Adult Hospital with international accreditation and two hospitals including 74 nurses and 126 physicians working in Dokuz Eylul University Hospital which do not have international accreditation was applied to a total of 400 health personnel. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows 21.0 software was used for analysis of the data obtained in the research. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods (Percentage, Mean, Standard deviation), t-test and one-way ANOVA test. Findings: Hacettepe University, which has international hospital accreditation, gives satisfaction of employees of Adult Hospital; (p= 0,031), technical equipment and accessibility (p= 0,003), liking to give health services in the institution (p= 0,039) and recommending to work in the institution with pride in the institution (p= 0,024) satisfaction of employees of Dokuz Eylül University Hospital, which does not have hospital accreditation; (p= 0.001), fair job distribution (p= 0.037), and task definition and implementation (p=0.042). When the data are analyzed according to occupational variables: satisfaction of the nurses of Dokuz Eylül University Hospital; (p= 0,027), technical equipment and accessibility (p= 0,012), liking to give health service in the institution (p= 0,020) and recommending to work in the institution with pride in the institution (p= 0,027) respectively. At the same time, the satisfaction of the nurses of the Dokuz Eylül University Hospital; (p= 0,036), rewarding (p= 0,016), technical equipment and accessibility (p=0,001), liking to give health services in the institution (p= 0,009), being proud of the institution (p= 0.003) were significantly lower than those of Hacettepe University Adult Hospital nurses. Result: It has been found that international hospital accreditation does not have any significant effect on employee satisfaction but hospital staff with international hospital accreditation likes to work in their institutions, their institutions are proud of being a member, and they recommend anyone to work in their institution. If a senior management in a health institution determines "job peace and well-being" as a quality target, "Employee satisfaction" should also be addressed in corporate risk management, risk analysis should be done and the topic should be included in business plans. Keywords: Satisfaction, Quality, Accreditation.
