Abstract (EN)

Our foreign contracting services undertake high-level jobs in international environments and have become an important sector. Every year we can observe 20-25 Turkish Companies among ?The 225 Biggest Construction Companies in the World?.In the first chapter, contracting, construction and production concepts are described shortly. After contracting is described, we examined the construction and production concepts and the elements of them.In the second chapter, the legal basis of the construction contracts, their parties, their characteristics and elements, the contents of them, and the possible disputes are investigated. In the third chapter, we examined possible disputes in an international construction agreement and the possible resolutions of them. After giving general information on the resolutions, we explained and assessed the benefits of them. In the last chapter, we can see how international disputes emerging form construction agreements can be settled by not claiming in national courts but in alternative ways. Also in the last chapter we can understand that arbitration is the preferable way to settle among the other alternatives and the FIDIC Standards must be considered.
