Abstract (EN)

From past to present, men are the first actors of working life. Women take minor roles in the working life and remain in the second position of working life by getting limited income. The secondary position of women in work is explained as gender problems with reference to biological and physical properties by the general opinion. Therefore, the passive position of women in work has brought gender issues. The limited participation of women in working life that is a common problem in the international arena makes it necessary to do work on the gender. Thus, as the main actors in the international arena, the United Nations, the European Union, the Council of Europe and the Internatiional Labor Organizastion begin to develop important gender equality policies that are about women's working life. In this thesis, The main gender issues that are about in the working life are discussed and in order to solve these issues, the legislations, the current plans and programs are realized by the United Nations, the European Union, the Council of Europe and the International Labor Organizastion and Turkey are examined. In conclusion, Although the regulations related to gender equity in the working life in Turkey approaches the level of international organizations, In practically, İt is also a need the realization of plans and programs that support legislation.
