Özet (EN)
Employees of the International Logistics sector, as a requirement of their jobs, are required to maintain relationships with many different people, both inside and outside the company, as well as culture. Numerous studies have shown that emotional intelligence plays an important role in determining the performance of the organization. In this study, the emotional intelligence of the employees in the International Logistics sector will be examined and it is aimed to determine the relationship and outputs of this with job satisfaction and burnout. Many studies have shown that emotional intelligence plays an important role in the performance of the business. Burnout and job satisfaction directly affect organizational outcomes such as tendency to leave, absenteeism, job performance, and quality of service provided. The research data consists of 321 personnel working at the lower and middle level in the international logistics department of 18 companies in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone MOSB, which have 224 enterprises and a foreign trade volume of $ 9.6 billion. Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) was used to measure the emotional intelligence of employees in the study. WLEIS consists of features and abilities that will enable employees to learn their emotional intelligence. Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Form (MTE-GF) was used to measure the burnout level of the employees. In order to measure the job satisfaction of employees in the logistics sector, Griffin et al. (2010) job satisfaction scale was used. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the SPSS Statistics (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 25.0 program. It was observed that the scales showed normal distribution. Mann-Whitney U test and independent sample t-test were used to test whether our quantitative variables differed significantly from the scores obtained from two unrelated samples. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between variables. Regression analysis was performed to analyze the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. As a result of the research, there is no significant difference when looking at the emotional intelligence, burnout or job satisfaction levels of the participants according to their gender. When the relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout is examined, it has been observed that there is a significant and negative relationship with exhaustion and depersonalization, which are the sub-dimensions of burnout, and a significant and positive relationship with the competence sub-dimension. In addition, when the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction is examined, it is concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship with itself and all its sub-dimensions.
