Abstract (EN)

Globalization and international developments in various fields have led to major changes in the international system. Some concepts such as civil society, human rights and public opinion have gained great importance in international forums. The traditional role of the state has diminished and states are no longer the only basic elements in determining and defining global policies. The existence of new international elements that can effectively contribute to the solution of the problems of the new world order in the world is required. International non-governmental organizations are one of the most important new actors and have an important influence in the international decision-making process. As a result of the increasing importance of international non-governmental organizations at all levels, the United Nations has recognized its role as an important and fundamental partner in international relations. The contributions of these organizations have increased over time and have become the third authority in the world. These organizations are considered as an important element in the process of protecting human rights in the world due to their great capabilities and the various mechanisms they implement. Non-governmental organizations try to develop and implement international human rights conventions and become a guarantee to comply with the rules of international human rights law. It also monitors the status of fundamental rights and freedoms in the world and works to identify human rights violations. In addition, these organizations make great efforts before international judicial bodies to combat human rights violations in the international community. This study aims to examine the contributions of international non-governmental organizations in the field of protection and promotion of human rights and to clarify their role in establishing human rights standards and treaties at the international level. It also tries to shed light on the various mechanisms these organizations follow to guarantee human rights in the world.
