International and local sport organizations are held in many countries throughout the world during the whole year. The biggest and the most widespread of these organizations are the Olympic Games. The main objective of the Olympic Games is to share different cultures of the world through sport. Thousands of athletes, staff and spectators participate in these kinds of organizations, which have a great and important impact on the development of socio-cultural life, economy and tourism where they are organized. With an increasing interest all around the world, Universiade, in this manner, is considered as the second biggest sports event and feast with its spirit of gathering university athletes. Uniqueness in emphasizing amateurism and creating a cultural sharing platform.An important study field in sports is the management and organization of health related issues of athletes, spectators and staff because, even the smallest problems in health and medical issues can affect the success of the whole organization.The biggest sports organization ever held in Turkey was Universiade 2005 Izmir. A total of 7884 people, including 5372 athletes and 2512 delegation officials participated in competitions held in 14 diferent sports.In this study, the health services of the Universiade 2005 Izmir Summer Games Organization are mentioned, analyzed and suggestions were made in terms of management and organization. As a nominee for the Olympic Games and Mediterranean Games and on the way of Universiade 2011 Erzurum Winter Games, this study aims to set a pathway to the similar organizations.
