Digital practises on international television news: example of TRT World

Globalisation of communication carries news of different geographies and societies, making information and knowledge stream faster and multidirectional. Today, dense and fast news stream is taken place on local and global level. Countries that own control of information and news stream on higher level have power and control on many international fields and mainly diplomatic field as well. In this study, the foundation, operation, broadcasting policies and digital services of TRT World, which have been established to argue Turkey's thesises on international fields, are studied. Based on reflection of format of a content that is produced by a broadcasting foundation that serves international television news; transformation of television news, audience and broadcasting corporations while they are adapting to digital work is put forth among the subjects that are in the study. At the first three parts of work, literature scanning method is applied and at last part interview method is applied. Key words: Television news, globalisation, new media, digital, news
