Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the sectoral employmenteffects of trade in Turkish Manufacturing Industry. This study is constituted byfive chapters. In the first chapter, review of the literature examining thesectoral employment effects of trade for a number of countries are given. Thesecond chapter presented a briesf account of panel data analysis andeconometric estimation methods used in panel data analysis. Empiricalresults are presented in chapter 3. Empirical analysis suggest that bothimports and exports have positive effects on manufacturing sectoremployment.
