Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on the relation between Germany which is the major trading partner country for exports of Turkey and China which is in the second place of import and was the first between 2015-2017. Although there are a number of studies about country analyses, it is not encountered a study on how Turkey has developed close business relations with China and Germany by the resolution of developing process on both political and economic aspects. This study will focus on this gap in the literature and try to shed light on our recent relationship with the countries in which we develop close commercial relations and to shed light on our future commercial relations. For this purpose, the study is discussed under three main headings. In the first part the purpose is to understand how Turkey acts in international markets by analyzing its economic development in periods. The second part of the study was evaluated through the example of Germany. In this part the focus is the politic and economic relations between Turkey and Germany in 2008-2018 decade and 1076 main and additional news stories are subjected to analysis. In the third part of the study, the same analysis was repeated over China. The main news stories about China are 682. At the end of the study, it can be said that there is an economic trend in terms of both countries. In terms of China, it is an issue that should be dealt with in terms of economic balances, while the economic relations are in an increasing trend with each passing day. Economic relations are expected to get higher by future "The Belt & Road" project. On the other hand, the speed of the development of relations in the political field is relatively slow. In the case of Germany, the political ties between the two countries are tense areas, but this tension has not always directly affected economic relations. Although the tension between the years of 2013-2017, it is clear that the export increased and the foreign trade deficit decreased except for 2015. With the global recession in 2015 exports of Turkey to Germany decreased as general exports to other countries decreased. The period between 2016-2017, which experienced the most tension, is the most vivid years of trade.
