Ümmü Süleym and his position in the rumorof Hadith

Since the Companions were the first witnesses of the sunnah, they understood and lived the sunnah in the best way and passed it on to the next generations. They preserved it by narrating from the Prophet. There are many books of ricâl and tabâkât that examine the lives of the Companions, although it is impossible to come across all the narrations made by a Companion and dealing with all aspects of his life. In this study, we tried to determine Umm Sulaym's place in the hadith transmission by examining her life, family and hadith narrations. In the first part of our study, by examining the life, personality and family of Umm Sulaym, so tried to be determined their closeness to the Prophet. Who Heralded in Paradise, participated in the wars with the Prophet, demanded that women be allocated a separate chat day in the scientific assemblies and who was close to the Prophet in terms of lineage and foster brotherhood of Umm Sulaym. She hosted the Prophet many times in her house so, she narrated some of the hadith she learned from the Prophet. In the second part of my work, the hadiths narrated by Umm Sulaym were determined. Narrations in this section; tabarruk with the Prophet's person and belongings, how to wash and shroud a dead woman, asking for prayers from the Prophet, the virtue of the ansar, recommending a family patience and not rebelling whose child has passed away and witnessing the miracle of the Prophet topics are mentioned. The hadiths narrated by Umm Sulaym were searched in Kutub-i Tis'a and reached 16 hadiths reported by her. Some of these narrations have been examined in detail, and the hadith transmission scheme and information on ricāl have been shown, than the authenticity of the hadith has been determined.
