Abstract (EN)
Rollover is one of the most dangerous and fatal vehicle accident. Therefore, vehicle manufacturers must be sure about the strength of the superstructure of vehicles they produce to guarantee passenger safety. Because of these reasons the regulation UNECE R66 was first released in 1997. In this study, the strength and structural behavior of a M3 category bus in a rollover accident was simulated to appraise the vehicle superstructure resistance and passenger injury risks. Aforementioned virtual rollover simulation analysis was carried out according to safety regulation of UNECE (The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) Regulation number 66.02. Keywords: Vehicle Rollover, UNECE R66, Strength of Vehicle Superstructure, Virtual Rollover Analysis of Vehicle, Category M3 Vehicle Rollover, Bus Rollover, Finite Element Analysis
