Abstract (EN)

In this study, stresses, strains and radial displacement taking place on a FGMshaft rotating with a constant speed under the uniform temperature and theeffect of pressure are solved using equilibrium equation, compatibility equationand Hooke equations as semi analytically and semi numerically. In this paper, the distribution of material properties are expressed with exponential functionsdepending on radius. While homogeneous part of the differential equationyielding the solution can be solved analytically, on the other side particularsolution is evaluated numerically due to the integrations required by thesolution. The effects of the elastic modulus, thermal expansion coefficient andspecific weight distributions on the stress, strain and radial displacement in theshaft are studied.Science Code : 944Key Words : Elasticity, FGM Material, Stress analysis, Rotating shaftPage Number : 75Adviser : Prof. Dr. Müfit GÜLGEÇ
