Creating of data warehouse and data mining for university information management systems

ABSTRACT For manager's deciding, information and datas' importance increases more by more. The main reasons of it, is competiton condition. It means globalization and improvements on communication technologies fastly. In that situation, obtaining necessary data reaching datas and informations more quickly, taking the true datas from common data set at the true times are components of which provide companies stand by and give competition power. For deciding the necessary informations can be taken from resources of inside of company or bised of company. Models of data saving or data reaching are different. End users can not reach the true and necessary information and datas directly. This datas and and informations become for defined algorithyms. The main purposes of data warehouse and data mining is that removing details of defining algorithms and taking necessary true informations by methods. In thesis, the improving features of data mining's and data warehouse's problems were searched. Also in information system of the university, data warehouses and data mining application's alternatives were studied. The data warehouse structure of univeristy was suggested and application examples were given.
