Abstract (EN)

In today's world, higher education is transforming into a system that can respond to constantly and rapidly changing economic, technological, and societal developments. Massification of higher education and building a worldwide brand presence are necessities due to the demands of our day. In order to provide quantitative indicators of higher education quality, several ranking and rating systems have been developed by research laboratories, professional communities of commercial enterprises, governmental agencies, and non-governmental organizations, which are transforming. Ranking systems primarily serve as tools for comparing institutions, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting students, who are the essential input of the system, in making informed decisions. In this study, the UTADIS (Utilités Additives Discriminantes) multicriteria decision-making method was utilized by leveraging classification for the purposes of university ranking. The classification of 123 national universities was performed based on shared evaluation criteria, taking into account various factors and characteristics such as research output, teaching quality, international collaborations, industry partnerships, innovation, and social impact. The adaptability of the UTADIS element classification method to the ranking issue in higher education and the efficiency of the ranking generated among alternatives were evaluated throughout the process.
