Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Algıladıkları Duygusal İstismar ile Psikolojik Sağlamlıkları Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between perceived emotional abuse and psychological robustness of university students. Another aim is to determine whether the levels of perceived emotional abuse and psychological well-being differ according to age, gender, grade level, department, perceived parental attitude and abuse history. The sample of the study consists of 585 volunteer students, 338 female and 247 male, studying at Eastern Mediterranean University. Mek Perceived Emotional Abuse Scale for Adults geliştiril, developed by Ersanlı, Yılmaz and Özcan (2008) in order to determine the levels of emotional abuse perceived by university students, was developed by Block and Kremen (1996) and developed by Karaırmak (2007). E Psychological Robustness Scale (Ego Health Scale) olan and “Personal Information Form hazırlanan prepared by the researcher to collect some general information about the students were used as data collection tools. The data were analyzed by Pearson Product Moment Correlation, t-Test and One-way ANOVA. As a result of the study, it was found that there was an inverse relationship between perceived emotional abuse and psychological stability of university students. According to this result, it can be said that psychological stability levels decrease as the levels of emotional abuse perceived by university students increase. When the perceived emotional abuse levels and psychological robustness levels were examined according to various variables, it was found that perceived emotional abuse levels of university students did not show a significant difference according to age, gender, grade level and department variables, but showed a significant difference according to perceived parental attitude and abuse history variables. It was found that psychological robustness levels did not show a significant difference according to gender, class level, department, parental attitude and history of abuse, but showed a significant difference according to age variable.
