Abstract (EN)

This study is a descriptive study aims to investigate whether the achievement goal orientations of university students changing according to gender, class, academic success, affectivity and methods of coping with stress.The research has been done on 506 üniversity students.In order to determine the achievement goal orientation ?Achievement Goal Orientation Scale?, to determine the method of coping with stress ?Strategies of Coping with Stress Scale? and to determine the affectivity situation ?Positive and Negative Affectivity Schedule? were used. When the datas are analyzing, the students were separated according to level of independent variables. While the number of groups are two t-test, in the situation of more than two one-way anova (F-test) were used. For the situation of significant F value, Tukey- Kramer Test was used. The significance level was choosen as ? = 0.05.At the end of this research:There is an important difference between methods of coping with stress and learning goal orientation, performance approach and performance-avoidance. While the students who have positive affectivity are interiorizing performance approach goal orientation, the students having negative affectivity are interiorizing performance avoidance goal orientation. There is an important difference between academic success of university students and learning goal orientation. There is no important significant differences between student?s achievement goal orientation belong to genders. There is a significant difference between class of university students.Key words: Achievement goal orientation, academic achievement, emotionality, coping style
