The analysis of the concept of need satisfaction level and subjective well-being level on university students

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between degree of need satisfaction and the degree of subjective well-being; and to examine the subjective well-being in terms of some variables. This study is a kind of descriptive study; the participants are composed of 768 studens who are attending 1th, 2nd , 3rd and 4th grades. These datas were gathered from Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Education Faculty. ?Personal Information Form? , ?Need Satisfaction Scale? and ?Subjective Well-Being Scale? were used to obtain the datas. Desciriptive statistics, T-test, One Way ANOVA, Tukey HSD Test and Simple Linear Regression techniques were used in analyzing the datas. According to the research results; subjective well-being degrees of attenders did not show any different results into gender and age. It has been determined that there was differentiation by income level. When it was compared the subjective well-being degree of students who have high and and medium economical standarts and students who have lower economical standarts, it has been found out that students whose economical standarts are high and in medium level have significantly higher subjective well-being degree.. The degrees of subjective well-being of university students whose income level are high and medium don?t differentiate. It has been found that, there was positive and significant correlation between need satisfaction and subjective well-being, as well as need satisfaction held key for explaining subjective well-being.
