Examination of relationship satisfaction of university students in terms of self-efficacy and romantic jealousy

This research aims to examine university students' relationship satisfaction in terms of self-efficacy and romantic jealousy. "Relationship Satisfaction Scale", "Self-Efficacy in Romantic Relationships Scale", "Multi-dimensional Jealousy Scale" and "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher were used to collect data in the research. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS 26 program. Independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Post Hoc test, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis techniques were used. Looking at the results of the research; It was determined that the emotional jealousy levels of university students showed a significant difference according to gender. Relationship satisfaction and self-efficacy were found to differ significantly according to age. It is seen that the levels of relationship satisfaction and cognitive jealousy differ significantly according to the duration of the relationship. Relationship satisfaction and self-efficacy were found to make a significant difference according to relationship status. It is seen that there is a significant difference in relational satisfaction according to the grade level. It was determined that the cognitive jealousy levels showed a significant difference according to the frequency of meeting with their partners. It is seen that the ways they use to communicate with their partners make a significant difference on their relationship satisfaction and emotional jealousy levels. It has been determined that cognitive jealousy levels cause a significant difference according to the place where students spend most of their lives. It is seen that students' relationship satisfaction and self-efficacy cause a significant difference according to how they perceive themselves economically. As a result of the Pearson correlation analysis; A moderately positive relationship was found between university students' relationship satisfaction and self-efficacy. It was determined that there was a weak and negative relationship between relationship satisfaction and romantic jealousy levels. It was concluded that there is a very weak negative significant relationship between students' self-efficacy and jealousy levels. Considering the results of the multiple regression analysis; students' self-efficacy and jealousy levels were found to be predictors of their relationship satisfaction.
