Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study, the relation ship between the levels of life satisfaction, free time satisfaction and self-esteem of recreation activities of the students of Bartın University Faculty of Sport Sciences was tried to be revealed. The population of the study consisted of 1546 students studying at Bartın University Faculty of Sport Sciences, and the sample group consisted of 645 randomly selected volunteers. In the method part of the research, a descriptive research model was applied. Questionnaire was used as data collection method. The research was prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool; The Personal Information Form, was developed by Diener et al. (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Köker (1991). "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale" was developed by Beard and Ragheb (1980) and Karlı et al. (2008) Free Time Satisfaction Scale and "Demographic Information Form prepared by the researcher. In the method part of the research, a descriptive research model was applied. Questionnaire was used as data collection method. The research was prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool;'' Personal Information Form'', Life Satisfaction Scale, adapted by Köker (1991) into Turkish, Enberg Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, which was conducted by Çuhadaroğlu (1986), was conducted by Karlı et al. (2008) "Free Time Satisfaction Scale ve and "Demographic Information Form prepared by the researcher, which they translated into Turkish by conducting validity-reliability studies. The obtained data were subjected to statistical processes in SPSS package program In data analysis; percentage, frequency, mean, t-Test, ANOVA test, Pearson correlation tests were used. According to the outcomes of the study, it is concluded that female students are better in terms of self-esteem than female students in life satisfaction and free time satisfaction. In general, when the data is examined, it is concluded that life satisfaction decreases as the age of the students grows, self esteem decreases as the life satisfaction increases, the life satisfaction increases with the increase in the students level of life. It is seen that students who have higher scores in aesthetic dimension are better in life satisfaction than others. As a result of the research, it was found that the life satisfaction, free time satisfaction and self-esteem status of the university students for recreation activities differed according to the variables of gender, age, financial status, monthly income of the family, department, class, academic success and daily time allocated to recreation activities. As a result, the effects of life satisfaction, free time satisfaction and self-esteem are positive in participation in recreation activities.
