University staff's perception of the relationship between individual creativity and organizational commitment - The sample of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between the individual creativity levels of university staff and their organizational commitment. A total of 200 personnel, including 100 academic and 100 administrative personnel working at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, participated in the research. In the data collection process of the study, 'Personal Information Form', 'Individual Creativity Scale' and 'Organizational Commitment Scale' were used. In the data analysis process of the research, Independent Samples T test, MANOVA analysis and Pearson Correlation analysis were used in SPSS 25.0 program. At the end of the research, it was found that the individual creativity levels and organizational commitment of university staff were at medium levels. It was seen that there was no significant relationship between the individual creativity levels of academic and administrative staff and their organizational commitment (p>0.05). It was determined that the individual creativity level of the personnel who participated in the research showed a significant difference according to their job type and educational status (p<0.04), while the organizational commitment levels of the personnel who participated in the research differed only according to the variable of educational status (p<0.05). As a result, it can be said that there is no significant relationship between the individual creativity and organizational commitment levels of university personnel, on the contrary, the individual creativity and organizational commitment levels vary according to demographic variables.
