Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the organizational commitment levels of academic and administrative staff at Gaziantep University. The three-dimensional (emotional, continuance and normative) commitment scale developed by Allen and Meyer (1990) was used to measure the level of organizational commitment in the study. Questionnaire was used as the research data collection method and using simple random sampling method. 272 questionnaires were collected. In the first part of the questionnaire, questions about demographic variables were asked (5 questions). In the second part, organizational culture and organizational commitment questions are given respectively. This section consists of 24 questions covering the dimensions of organizational commitment. Reliability analysis, Percent-Frequency Analysis, Independent Sample T-Test, One-Way Anova Analysis, Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis were performed by using the SPSS program to analyze the survey data. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the highest percentage of commitment was for the emotional commitment axis. This result is consistent with previous studies in the field. According to another result of the study, while no difference was found in the level of affective commitment and continuance commitment, higher levels of differences were found among managers in the level of normative commitment. A significant difference was found in the normative commitment dimension according to the academic title. According to these results, the perception of normative commitment of administrative staff is higher than that of academic staff.
