Abstract (EN)

Today's technology makes it imperative to visit websites almost every day in order to access information. We realize the information we want to reach over the internet through the websites. Under these conditions, for individuals or institutions to design their websites according to the usability principles, to think and make plans represent great significance. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the websites through the eyes of the user, to provide the user with the information to be reached or the desired operation to be made in the shortest way. It is to examine and reveal the problems of websites designed against usability principles. In my study, information on basic points such as web interface design, the importance of using visual, typography and color in web interface design, issues to be considered during the design phase were obtained. Different steps of design-oriented thinking are referred to and the effect of this concept on web interface design has been studied. University website target audience requirements have been addressed and evaluations have been made in terms of usability principles from the perspective of current students and prospective students. During the review phase we have focused on modules where the target audience of university websites are constantly interacting. The good and bad sides of these modules are detailed.
