With the effects of technological developments, paper documents, which are formed to maintain both personal and institutive activities, have given place to electronic documents rapidly. Management of electronic documents with classical methods has become difficult and more effective and dependable solutions, which are also suitable to electronic environment, have been developed. This systems, which are defined as electronic document management, have become widespread and provided an active, safe and fast system feature while ensuring saving in terms of cost, manpower and time.By using the speed of the technology with application developed in this thesis study, it is aimed to enable users to perform their works in a short and correct way and not to wait for receiving the document via physical methods, for getting information about a specific subject or performing a process on the related document. In the sample document management application, which is based on document management standards, one of the most popular languages Java has been used and SQL Server database has been preferred to store data.
