Abstract (EN)

Product firms need to produce various products to supply individual customer needs and mass production efficiency in a short life cycle. Product life cycle costing is an economic evaluation technique including assessment of the total cost of products, before during and after production. Nowadays, " behave differently to different people" model is valid in global competition both for marketing and manufacturing areas. Turkey is a renowned country for "mega yacht" production based on single projects named as "one-off". Megayacht manufacture appeal to high income and affluent group in society so people demand products that will distinguish them from others . Each project runs in a process shaped according to its own subjective conditions so there is no repetition in the projects. While some manufacturers adopt "Full Custom Projects" mode of production in which size and standards are totaly decided by yacht and flybridge owners, some prefer "Semi-Custom Project" mode of production in which main characteristics are designed by producers but for details and mostly for interior part taking suggestion of customers. Therefore, there isn't any standard cost system about yacht manufacture. This study is prepared to increase competitive power of business firms manufacturing yacht productions which have put signature under important successes after automotive sector in Turkey, with the aim of composing life cycle cost analysis via a mathematical model. From now on, there will be a database which will form a basis for more academic researches. Key Words: LCC, Life Cycle Costing,Yacht Design, Yacht Manufacture Cost.
