Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out between 01.12.2020 and 01.04.2021 to determine the quality of life and self-esteem level of women with urinary incontinence who applied to the hospital. 180 women were included in the study, which was designed as a cross-sectional study. In the first stage of data collection, the "Incontinence Inquiry Form (ICIQ-SF)" was applied to women with urinary incontinence who applied to the hospital. "Sociodemographic Data Collection Form", "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RBSS)", "Urogenital Distress Inventory and Incontinence Impact Questionnaire" were applied to women who scored eight or higher for the ICIQ-SF score. SPSS program was used to evaluate the data. As a result of the statistics, it was determined that the sociodemographic characteristics of the women affected the urinary incontinence levels. It was observed that the mean self-esteem score of women with urinary incontinence was sufficient in general, but the mean score of RBSS of women with low income was lower. In line with the data obtained, it was observed that as the urinary incontinence levels of women increased, their quality of life decreased. Similarly, a decrease was observed in the self-esteem levels of women whose quality of life decreased.
