Determınatıon of the mechanization level of Uşak agricultural businesses

The aim of the study; is to be determined the agricultural structure and mechanization characteristics of agricultural enterprises in Uşak. For that reason, in the term of September in 2017 and March in 2018, data and another statistical data which had been gained via a guestionnaire study by face to face meeting with 77 villagers from Uşak Province and its districts were used. It was obtained with 139 agricultural holdings determined by stratified random sampling method. It was identified that the average operating size is approximately 7,9 hectares, the parcel size is 6,33 hectares and the number of parcels per enterprise is 4,95. It was determined that the average tractor power is 48,81 kW, and the power per a tractor treated area was 3.44 (kW/Tractor). The number of tractors per 1000 hectare area was defined as 93.32 (Tractor/1000ha). This value is over 57.42 (Tractor/1000 ha) which belongs to the average of Turkey. It was detected that agricultural area per tractor in Usak Province was 10,72 (ha/Tractor), the number of tools per tractor was 3.351 units (Tools andmachinery /Tractors), the weight of tools and machinery per tractor was 3.28 (Tons/Tractor) and 4.24 (Tons/Tractor). It shows that it is less than average of Turkey. In addition, the number of harvesters per 1000 hectare area is 0.56 (Harvester/1000ha) and 0.74 (Harvester/1000ha), which is below the average of Turkey.
