Abstract (EN)

It is known that rugs have a very important place in the development of culture in Anatolia. Kilim art has reflected a deep-rooted weaving tradition by carrying the historical and cultural values of Uşak to new generations with various motifs starting from the early ages until today. Kilim motifs, besides carrying aesthetic concerns, reflected our traditional motifs on ceramic works with their colors and types. It is thought that by adapting the Uşak rug motifs to objects and objects in ceramic bodies with various designs, they can be designed as more useful items today. Thus, these motifs, which reflect the culture of Uşak, have a very important place in terms of reflecting our tradition as souvenirs as a result of the application of the items in our daily life in the ceramic body. It is foreseen that the motifs in Uşak rugs will be transferred to today's ceramic art and applied to ceramic surfaces, contributing to Uşak income. It is thought that the ceramics to be produced inspired by Uşak rug motifs through modern ceramic art will be transferred from generation to generation, cultural values will be transferred to future generations and traditional - cultural values will be kept alive. In this research, the contribution of traditional Uşak rug motifs combined with ceramic art to uşak was investigated, and the result were aimed to present the art as a new proposal for Uşak's income.
