Abstract (EN)
Within the study, the efficiency of NOₓ transformation rates at low temperatures was examined by using fusel oil for reducing and a catalyst made of Mo-Cu-Ag/TiO₂ in the HC-SCR system. The properties of the catalyst were determined by BET, SEM, FTIR and XRD analysis. The experiments were conducted in the range of 200-300 °C, at 3 different space velocities (30000 h-1,40000 h-1and 50000 h-1) and under 5 various motor loads (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 KW). A 2-cylinder V-type diesel engine were used during the experiments. As the outcome of the performance tests, the maximum NOₓ transformation efficiencies were obtained at 290 °C, the highest test temperature, at all space velocity values and engine loads. The highest NOₓ conversion rate among all tests was obtained as 85.94% at 290 °C at 1 kW at 30000 h-1. Increasing the exhaust gas temperature from 200 to 290℃ had a positive effect on the NOₓ transformation efficiency. Keywords: SCR, Exhaust Emissions, NOₓ, Reductants, Fusel oil
