Abstract (EN)

Aim: The exposure of the trainers and athletes in the football and basketball super leagues in Gaziantep to the survivor syndrome will be examined and the methods of coping with this situation will be discussed. Material and Method: In this study, descriptive survey model was used. The research population and sample were collected from Gaziantep (a) Gaziantep Football Club A.S. and (b) Gaziantep Basketball Club A.S. all athletes and coaches. A two-part scale was used to collect data. The Personal Information Form and a scale consisting of 13 questions was used by Islamoglu and Turgut (2003) to measure the Left Behind Syndrome. Statistically t test and anova test were used. Significance level was accepted as p<0.05. Results: In the research, Gaziantep Football Club and Gaziantep Basketball Club athletes and coaches; A statistically significant correlation was found between the position, marital status, age, educational status, length of stay in the club, income level and the survivor syndrome. Conclusion: As a result, it was concluded that those who work in the basketball club have higher SS than the football club, the coaches are higher than the SS footballers, and the married ones are higher than the singles. It was concluded that there was a positive correlation between the age, tenure, income and SS of the athletes and trainers, and a negative correlation between their educational status and SS.
